True patriots find themselves at odds with the land they love as it is the government that encroaches on every aspect of their lives.

Darkness as a Beacon

Posted on August 29th, 2010 by Patriot

There are some basic and very simple guideposts that anyone can see even in the dark. These markers stand out because they are conspicuous, require very little background to understand and are not subject to interpretation. They are correct because something inside each individual knows them to be so. Mankind, at his best, doesn’t do “it” right. Man’s best efforts have led to wars, deprivation and abuse, yet mankind continues to look into darkness as a beacon. Such is the guiding ethic that drives this administration. Republican Winners; Maybe

Is this the face of Leadership

"Is this the face of Leadership?"

The 2010 Midterm Elections are lurking just around the corner and all eyes seem focused on a Republican victory in the House and Senate. Not so fast. The Obama Administration has proven itself to be ideologically driven in their headlong drive to “fundamentally transform” America into some form of weak “Tin Cup Dictatorship”. The Democrats have clearly given Americans something to vote against. However, this November, the question will be; “Who will Americans vote “For?”. When the Republican claim to fame is simply “We’re not Democrats!” something is terribly wrong.

Americans are talking - Its Your Freedom at Stake

"Its Your Freedom at Stake"

Have you ever listened to a news report on the findings of the most recent poll results and wondered just who contributed to this poll?  Were those asked the various questions a part of a paid group? Were they the same people, recruited over and over again from the last questions solicited for a poll? Were they at home and able to answer the phones because they had no job? The Social Innovation Fund

Social Innovation Fund The Social Innovation Fund

"Sometimes, even help is misdirected"

The typical taxpaying citizen probably never heard of the Social Innovation Fund. This was the brainchild of the late Ted Kennedy, who never saw a publicly confiscated dollar he didn’t like. The program is touted as “a new way of doing business for the Federal government”. Thinkpatriot.com wants to know what’s new about it. The Social Innovation Fund started out with a $50 million dollar grant from the Federal government to invest in jobs training, transition from school to work issues and assist the National AIDS Fund. It has increased its domain to cover the distribution of roughly $124 million tax or Federal dollars as of August 2010. Read the rest of this entry »

Culture on Defense

Coming to a town near you!

The debate surrounding the Mosque to be built within blocks of the Twin Towers site is still raging. Thousands of New Yorkers have taken to the streets to protest the building and many of the workers, “hard hats”, claim they will not be a part of the construction. Political Leaders still insist that they know best. Therefore the elite are still at odds with the “little people” of America, mainly those who see the Mosque as a monument to the triumph of the terrorist.  All of this provides a backdrop for the relationship between Islam and the culture of the United States. America is being cast as the side that should be more accepting and embracing of the Islamic culture. It is America who is forced into a defensive posture as one news story after the other comes to light. Read the rest of this entry »

Invasion vs. Infiltration

Posted on August 21st, 2010 by Patriot

Standing on the banks of a river, a mild and quite man cast his fishing tackle out into the middle of the stream, hoping for a bite. In broken English, made understandable through years of hard practice as he overcame his thick Czechoslovakian accent, he divulged the following wisdom: “Government,” he said, “there’s always too much of it or too little.” Considering all he had been through, this was a tremendously generous statement.  He understood invasion vs. infiltration, in America, which was the subject of his concern as of late. Opinions on government are plentiful these days as Americans are experiencing the closest thing to a Socialist take-over that has ever come to pass, yet this man’s perspective was less defiant, more accommodating. Islam in America

Islam in America

"The Absence of Honor"

Recently, the debate regarding the building of a Mosque in New York City has overshadowed the larger topic of Islam in America yet the discussion is, by itself, a reflection of that relationship. The proper response from any religious faction, especially the Muslims as a group, regarding the sight of the Twin Towers should be the following: “We, the Muslim community, wish to honor your dead. Far be it for us to build anything that may even be construed as a monument to the former terrorist.” Unfortunately, this is not taking place in America. Instead there is the constant pressure to build the Mosque on that particular site. This calls into question the true motives, the thrust and goals of the Islamic community. Human Trafficking

Posted on August 18th, 2010 by Patriot

One of the most despicable, vile and revolting crimes that can take place is the taking advantage of people in a position of weakness; primarily women and children. In the United States, it is estimated that between 100,000 -300,000 cases of human trafficking are being perpetrated at this time. Around the world, this number is estimated to be closer to 27 million; however, this is a ball park figure as these practices are cloaked and hidden at all costs. To the captors, these people are not even human. They are treated as trash and sometimes meet a tragic end when the captors are done with them. Read the rest of this entry »

The Past on Steroids

Don't let this happen to us

Take a moment to inventory those technological conveniences that comprise life in America today. Now consider the leadership of Nazi Germany with access to the current technology we take for granted. It is said, “Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it”. If we review the past, while interjecting the component of the massive and all encompassing technology available to government leaders of today, we can begin to imagine a past on steroids. Once “We the People” realize that the only thing that stands between us and this omnipresent, ultra intrusive and all dominating world is the Constitution – our humility and possibly our fear factor will begin to soar. Judge Walker Vs Janice Joplin

Is gay marriage an option?

On October 4th, 1970, America lost one of its most colorful entertainers. Janice Lyn Joplin expired but she pegged some of the most solid Theological and Biblical commentary of anyone of her time. She may not have intended it as such but God used it for good and she should not be ignored. U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker announced his decision to overturn the voters regarding Proposition 8 earlier this week. Seven million California voters got it all wrong when they voted against homosexual marriage in their State. Luckily the Judge; a known homosexual was there to straighten them out. However, without meaning to he has set up a different battle in the case of Judge Walker vs. Janice Joplin. Read the rest of this entry »
